Dear Steve, I've commuted to work for several years, often in low light conditions and have had some run-ins with cars. I was deeply moved when I read the account of your accident. Thanks for posting it for us. You are forever a part of the cycling community and your story and ongoing situation is deeply moving for us all. Please continue to remain involved (i.e. with info. connected to home made batteries, sports drinks, etc. and please attend cycling events as able) and update us on your recovery. You represent more than a statistic, and we can learn from your experience. Thankyou.

I'm not sure if you remember me but I rode with you and the Plus 5 group last summer before your accident. I also helped a few days with the renovations. I am in grad school and take classes right across from the spine rehab center in Detroit. Strange coincidence I guess. Anyway, I'm glad you are doing well and wish you the best.
